The Chattanooga Choo Choo is a national landmark. And yet, directly across the street are old, dilapidated buildings in such bad need of repair. I walked up to this set of buildings and took some pictures from where this couple was standing (with their own cameras). Then, I decided to walk up to the other end and turn around. The shot was so much better with them in it. I processed the picture in both muted colors and black and white, then uploaded them to Pixlr to create a composite of color and non-color. Now I'm wondering what it would look like if I did just the opposite and put the buildings in black and white. Sigh. Editing is a never ending process.
I went to the opening night of the Night Fall concert series in Chattanooga. These kids were dancing around during the opening act while a bubble machine was blowing soap bubbles over their heads. It turned into one of my favorite shots from the day.

This was taken while on my trip to NY after ISTE last year. Fastest 3 days of my life!
The Sunday Chattanooga Market is becoming a "must see" place for me every week. The market atmosphere, great music, good food, and chances for impromptu photography all combine to make it a fun trip on a Sunday afternoon. Today's sunflower was being sold at one of the stalls at the market. Sunflowers make great pictures!
Tonight I spent some time at the first Evening Shade concert in downtown Cleveland's Johnson Park. This is the 18th year for this series of Friday night concerts, and the first time I've been. This was a picture of the lead guitarist cleaned up in Lightroom 4. So easy!
This church is just a few blocks from the convention center where I attended the Mid-South Technology Conference. Wish I could have gone inside!
